If you were up early this morning you may have caught our Chief Executive, Robin Ireland, on the BBC Breakfast sofa discussing a new piece of research from Action on Sugar.

The research, released today, highlights the huge amounts of hidden sugars in seemingly 'healthy' fruit snacks aimed at children, with over three quarters of products surveyed containing more sugars than Haribo Starmix!

Here at Health Equalities Group we fully back Action on Sugar's efforts to reduce the amounts of sugar in the nation's diet.

Over recent months we've pursued our own efforts to tackle excess sugar, focusing our attention on one of the biggest contributors of excess sugar- sugary drinks. Harnessing our years of public health expertise and campaigning skills we have created the Give Up Loving Pop campaign, which has had an enormous impact. Find out more over at giveuplovingpop.org.uk

So if you're keen to take action on a public health issue, get in contact and find out how we can help you to amplify your message and deliver maximum public health impact!
